Before you start looking for a plot, it is worth familiarizing yourself with the most common designations describing the land you are interested in. It’s important to learn a few key concepts and data:

cadastral parcel – as the smallest unit of geodetic division, it has a unique number, which in colloquial language is referred to as the plot number. parcel identifier – it is used, m.in for registering, it takes the following form WWPPGG_R.XXX.NR., where: WW is the voivodeship; PP is the assigned county number; GG is the code of the municipality; R is the type of municipality; XXX is a cadastral precinct; NR is the parcel code;

TERYT number – another type of plot designation in a special register kept by the Central Statistical Office, where the first two digits specify the voivodeship number, and then the district, commune, city, district.
